Mission statement

“THE KEY IS WE”

Every student attending Glen Dhu Public School will be fully engaged in building skills and understanding in academics, problem solving, creative thinking and citizenship. The Glen Dhu staff, students and community continuously work together to foster an environment that is safe, supportive, inclusive and stimulating. This environment challenges both staff and students by providing learning opportunities within the board, school, home and community.

The focus for our School Improvement Plan aligns with the Board Improvement Plan and targets Literacy and Numeracy. We invite parents to support student learning at home by reading daily and asking questions that help to foster curiosity and critical thinking skills. Our math focus is to build strategies using Math language to justify thinking in problem solving, which can be integrated into many daily activities at home.

Our School Community Council is a valued partner in our school.  Consider joining the SCC in order to make your voice heard in matters of program and to support our fundraising efforts.

Myself and our Vice Principal Shareen Row, are here to support your children’s learning and to keep them safe and well at school.  Please contact us with any concerns or questions.
